Welcome

A Mindful Transformation, Inc. is a federally recognized nonprofit founded and led by a woman veteran. We are more than a virtual support service; we are a sanctuary for healing where lived experience, professional integrity, and intentional care come together in service of your expansion.
Our evidence‑informed, person‑centered services support adults and families navigating substance use, recovery, life transitions, grief, and parenting challenges. Guided by a motivational interviewing–aligned stance, we honor each person’s autonomy, recognize their strengths, and support meaningful change at a pace that reflects their readiness.
With a trauma‑responsive lens, we integrate the Nurturing Parenting® philosophy alongside frameworks from C‑DBT, the SAMHSA Matrix Model, TF‑CBT, and SMART Recovery™ tools to strengthen emotional regulation, foster resilience, and support sustainable recovery. As a Certified Grief‑Informed Professional, our founder honors the grief inherent in transformation with compassion, clarity, and ritualized intention.
Our Parenting with Presence™ and Social Empowerment programs offer trauma‑informed, empowerment‑based education for caregivers and adults seeking steadiness, connection, and healthier relational patterns. Recovery‑In‑Practice: Circle of Becoming™ provides a peer‑facilitated space for ongoing growth, stability, and self‑directed change. We integrate evidence‑based practices that honor the nervous system, support emotional regulation, and foster sustainable change.
Every service we offer is delivered with integrity, steadiness, and clear intention. Our work is grounded in the belief that healing is possible, expansion is sacred, and each person carries the capacity to grow into the fullness of who they already are.
Here, your journey begins not with a label, but with a remembering.
Step into a space where professional excellence meets lived experience, and renewal is honored at every stage.

MISSION

A Mindful Transformation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing trauma‑informed, evidence‑based virtual support and education for individuals and families navigating substance‑use–related behavior change, grief, and major life transitions. Our programs strengthen emotional regulation, resilience, parenting skills, and relational health across Florida’s diverse communities. We exist to advance education and social welfare by increasing access to supportive services for underserved and vulnerable populations.

As a woman‑veteran‑founded nonprofit, we specialize in trauma‑responsive recovery and empowerment‑focused education. Our integrated approach draws from the Nurturing Parenting® philosophy, principles from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT), SMART Recovery™ tools, grief‑informed care, and a motivational interviewing‑aligned stance that supports self‑directed change while honoring autonomy and dignity.

We are committed to culturally responsive, person‑centered services that uphold dignity and recognize the complexity of each person’s lived experience. With humility, professional expertise, and genuine care, we walk alongside those we serve as they navigate the thresholds of their lives. About Dr. Gillian Harris-Dale, PhD, MCAP, ICADC, CTP, C-DBT

Veteran. Visionary. Vessel of Transformation

Rooted in Service

I served with honor as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. Nearly a decade of military service shaped the values that continue to guide my life: discipline, integrity, respect, honor, and the power of collective strength. These principles remain woven into both my personal and professional path.

Family Readiness and Community Care

Following my honorable discharge, I continued serving military families as a Family Readiness Group Leader, creating spaces where service members and their loved ones felt supported, informed, and empowered. My approach was relational, ritual‑centered, and grounded in genuine care.

My commitment to community extended into civilian spaces marked by profound vulnerability. I have sat across from individuals surviving domestic violence or still crippled by its impact, navigating substance dependence, fighting to regain custody of their children, re‑entering the community after incarceration, managing symptoms of Military Sexual Trauma while still serving, and rebuilding their lives after homelessness or recovery setbacks. These experiences deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the sacredness of human connection across all walks of life.

Advocacy and the Work of Restoring Voices

I have led initiatives supporting homeless Veterans and their families, offering not only shelter but belonging. I have provided trauma-responsive support to individuals navigating PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma, and Traumatic Brain Injury, grounding my work in deep listening, unwavering presence, and educational guidance.

My leadership has contributed to successful federal audits, sustained funding, and, most importantly, the restoration of dignity and visibility for those long overlooked.

In recent years, my work in substance use, addiction, and recovery has been shaped by compassion, evidence‑based practice, and reverence for the resilience families embody. I conduct thorough recovery-focused assessments and offer professional coaching that honors each person’s unique journey, fostering healing, accountability, and self‑directed growth. I do not see families as broken — I see them as evolving.

Teaching, Speaking, and Community Leadership

Throughout my career, I have shared insights from podiums and intimate circles alike. I have facilitated workshops on career advancement, resilience, and life after trauma, empowering Veterans, inspiring community leaders, and contributing to state symposiums. When addressing Military Sexual Trauma, I speak not of wounds, but of the transformative strength that rises from their aftermath.

Healing as Ceremony. Structure as Grace

Today, I am the founder of A Mindful Transformation, Inc., a nonprofit rooted in trauma‑informed, evidence‑based coaching, holistic recovery support, and empowerment‑centered education. I believe healing is both a science and a ceremony. Transformation is not a destination — it is a rhythm.

A Mindful Transformation is the culmination of my journey: a sanctuary where every client is honored as a sovereign being in the process of becoming.
