Welcome

Welcome to A Mindful Transformation, Inc.—a federally recognized nonprofit founded and led by a woman veteran of the U.S. military. We are more than a remote counseling service; we are a sanctuary for healing where lived experience, clinical expertise, and soul-driven purpose come together to serve you.

Our person-centered, evidence-informed virtual services are thoughtfully designed for individuals and families navigating substance use, sobriety, life transitions, grief, and parenting challenges—regardless of military affiliation. With a trauma-informed approach, we skillfully integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and SMART Recovery® tools to empower emotional regulation, foster resilience, and support lasting recovery.

Transformation is rarely linear and often involves the profound process of grieving—whether it’s the loss of a former identity, a cherished role, or a way of life. As a Certified Grief Informed Professional, our founder honors this journey with compassion, insight, and intentionally ritualized care.

Our Parenting with Presence program—rooted in the Nurturing Parenting® philosophy—offers trauma-informed, empowerment-based education for caregivers committed to breaking generational cycles and cultivating mindful, connected relationships.

Every service we provide is delivered with unwavering integrity and clear intention, grounded in our belief that healing is always possible and true transformation is sacred. Connection, structure, and grace are at the heart of your experience with us.

Here, your journey begins—not with a label, but with a remembering. Step into a space where clinical excellence meets lived experience, and renewal is honored at every stage. Healing with dignity. Transforming with grace.

About Dr. Gillian Harris-Dale, PhD, MCAP, ICADA

Veteran. Visionary. Vessel of Transformation

ROOTED IN SERVICE I served with honor as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. Through nearly a decade of service, I cultivated the values that continue to shape my life: discipline, integrity, respect, honor, and the power of teamwork. I remain committed to these values, integrating them into both my personal and professional life. FAMILY READINESS & COMMUNITY CARE Driven by my dedication to the Army community, I volunteered as a Family Readiness Group Leader after my Honorable discharge, serving as a steward of connection for Army members and their families. In this capacity, I created an environment where service members and their families felt supported, informed, and empowered. My approach was deeply relational, grounded in meaningful rituals, and centered on genuine care. ADVOCACY AND VOICING STRENGTH AFTER SILENCE I have led initiatives that enveloped homeless Veterans and their families in a protective embrace, offering not just shelter but a sense of belonging. I provided counseling to individuals facing the challenges of PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma, and Traumatic Brain Injury. My approach extended beyond traditional clinical methods—I prioritized deep, empathetic listening and a steadfast presence. The effectiveness of my leadership was reflected in successful federal audits, continued funding, and, most importantly, in restoring dignity and visibility to those who had felt overlooked. Most recently, my contributions to the fields of substance abuse, addiction, and recovery have been anchored in compassion, informed by evidence-based practices, and shaped by a deep respect for the resilience that families demonstrate. I conduct thorough evaluations and provide counseling that honors each person’s unique journey, while fostering healing and personal accountability. Whether I am supporting parents breaking generational cycles or individuals striving to reclaim their lives, I view recovery as both a clinical path and a sacred process. I do not see families as broken; I see them as evolving. Through structured guidance, nurturing education, and holistic support, I strive to help restore connections, rebuild trust, and ignite hope for transformation. Throughout my career, I have shared my insights both from the podium and within intimate circles. I’ve facilitated workshops focused on career advancement, resilience, and navigating life after trauma—empowering veterans, inspiring community leaders, and contributing to state symposiums. When addressing Military Sexual Trauma, I speak not of wounds, but of the transformative power found in its aftermath—a passage to newfound strength. HEALING AS CEREMONY, STRUCTURE AS GRACE. Today, I am the founder of A Mindful Transformation, Inc.—a nonprofit rooted in evidence-based counseling, holistic recovery, and nurturing education. I believe healing is both a science and a ceremony. I believe transformation is not a destination, but a rhythm.
